How do I book my pet's spot for the spay and neuter clinic?
To book a spot for your pet at our monthly spay and neuter clinic, please contact us. We will book you into the next available slot and provide you with information on how to prepare your pet.

Is a deposit required?
Yes, a $250 deposit is required to secure your pet's spot at our spay and neuter clinic.

Do I need to be an existing client at Shane Veterinary Medical Center to take advantage of the clinic?
No, you do not need to be an existing client to take advantage of the clinic. All are welcome!

How do I prepare for my pet's spay or neuter procedure?
Some things to keep in mind in preparation for your pet's spay or neuter appointment: Anesthetic consent form and other documents sent must be completed before drop-off Pet must be up-to-date on vaccines (DAPP, FVRCP, and Rabies) Do not feed your pet after midnight the night before

How do I care for my pet during recovery from a spay or neuter procedure?
We will provide you with detailed directions for how to care for your pet post-surgery. Please follow these directions carefully to ensure the health and safety of your pet.

When do I drop my pet off for their appointment?
- Drop-off is between 7:30am - 8:30am
- Check-in at the front desk and confirm all paperwork
- A team member will admit your pet

When do I pick my pet up after the procedure?
- Pickup will be between 5:00pm and 7:00pm
- You will be check out prior to pickup
- All discharge paperwork will be emailed prior to pickup
- You will receive paper discharge instructions as well as a spay/neuter/vaccine certificate
